MP Brenda Shanahan welcomes the election of three female MNAs within the federal riding of Châteauguay-Lacolle – MarieChantal Chassé, Claire IsaBelle and Danielle McCann, all members of the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ).
“I want to warmly congratulate the newly elected MNAs of Châteauguay, Huntingdon and Sanguinet. We can be proud as a society to see more and more women getting elected and filling decision-making positions. The full participation of women benefits everyone and strengthens our community,” says Brenda Shanahan.
With the mayors and mayoresses of the fifteen municipalities in the region, Ms. Shanahan is looking forward to working with her provincial counterparts to improve the quality of life of all citizens and to continue to grow our regional economy.
I have reached out to our new MNAs so we can meet soon to share our priorities and begin to work on common goals. The renewal of municipal infrastructure, for example, is one of the files we are focused on in the coming months.Brenda ShanahanMP for Châteauguay-Lacolle
This is important because the Government of Canada has put in place an historic infrastructure investment plan with a project approval process that works on a provincial-federal basis.
“I look forward to working with the many stakeholders in the region who require funding to build and upgrade facilities that will enhance the well-being of our community on a long-term basis, whether in the area of social, digital and green infrastructure,” she concludes.
